Quickly detects carbon monoxide
When heating systems are not properly maintained, carbon monoxide may be released. Carbon monoxide is a lethal gas that cannot be detected by our senses. It is therefore of the utmost importance to have one or more alarms fitted to ensure that you are warned in good time.

Loud and clear alarm
The Smartwares FGA-13051 carbon monoxide detector has a loud and clear 85 dB alarm that sounds when the permitted carbon monoxide concentration is exceeded. The alarm is suitable for rooms with a floor area between ​​​​20 m² to 40 m². The sensor has a 10-year lifespan and is supplied with batteries. You will hear a short beep if the battery is low, alerting you when it needs replacing. 

Easy mounting
The carbon monoxide detector works best when suspended from the ceiling and at least 1.85 meters away from any combustion appliance. An ideal place to mount the detector is, for example, next to the central heating boiler, the water heater or the cooker in the kitchen. You can also mount the detector on the ceiling using the screws provided.

Maintenance and testing
Dust and dirt can impair the performance of a carbon monoxide detector. Therefore, it is important to clean the detector every month with a slightly damp cloth and every six months with a vacuum cleaner. However, never use cleaning products or paint the detector. Moreover, it is recommended to test the carbon monoxide detector monthly to ensure that it is working properly.
