BRITA Anniversary Edition filter jug, 60 years, made from glass, produced by BRITA.

The filter jug consists of:

- glass jug, total capacity 2.5 l, filtering capacity 1.5 l;
- special filter funnel, made of BPA-free plastic;
- 1 filter cartridge, MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance type, with which you can filter approximately 150 l of tap water;
- protective silicone sleeve;
- BPA-free plastic lid with a SMART LED indicator for replacing the filter cartridge.

With its elegant design, made from sustainable materials, the glass filter jug is an essential element for daily hydration. The BRITA Limited Edition (Anniversary) glass jug includes a protective silicone sleeve, which protects the glass while also reducing noise.

The filter jug made of borosilicate glass is resistant to scratches and shocks and is very lightweight.

Sustainable: 60% recycled glass and 100% bioplastic material* from renewable sources, certified by the globally recognized ISCC PLUS label.

Hygienic: Borosilicate glass does not absorb odors and does not discolor. All components (except the BRITA Smart Light LED) can be cleaned in the dishwasher, at a maximum temperature of 50°C.

Easy to use: The lid can be opened with one hand.

Practical: Features a removable silicone sealing ring for optimal cleaning.

The filter jug is equipped with a warning system for replacing the cartridge, the SMART LIGHT LED type, positioned on the lid. The BRITA Smart Light LED will indicate in good time when you need to replace the filter (depending on time and the amount of water filtered).

Replacing the MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge

We recommend replacing the MAXTRA PRO cartridge every 4 weeks or after filtering 150 l of water. After the recommended period has expired, detach the lid of the filter jug, carefully remove the funnel, and then remove the cartridge.

MAXTRA PRO technology

The filter jug is equipped with 1 BRITA MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge, an improved version of the original MAXTRA+ variant.

Less limescale: protects the kettle and coffee machine against limescale deposits and thus extends the life of household appliances.

Fewer impurities: the MAXTRA PRO PURE PERFORMANCE filter filters impurities and residues of certain herbicides, pesticides, and pharmaceutical products**.

MAXTRA PRO is an economical and sustainable alternative to bottled water, with the cartridges being 100% recyclable. Return your MAXTRA PRO cartridges to any KitchenShop store and we will send them directly to BRITA headquarters in Germany to be recycled.

How does the water purification process actually work?

Simple! Through a relatively fast, but by no means superficial, process, using the 4 basic components of the  MAXTRA PRO cartridge.

1. The first sieve prevents coarse particles from entering;
2. Carbon micro-granules derived from coconut shells reduce chlorine and other organic substances that can affect the taste and smell of the beverage;
3. The ion-exchange resin retains metals such as copper and lead and reduces limescale deposits;
4. For final filtration, the water passes through a final sieve that retains even the finest unwanted particles, being 4 times more effective compared to MAXTRA+.
The water is ready to be consumed.

BRITA filters are designed to be used only for filtering tap water (note: if the water is regularly checked and has been declared potable) or for filtering water supplied by private suppliers that has been declared potable.
